Bulgaria with 25 competitors at the European Championships U20 in Skopje

Bulgaria will be represented by 25 competitors at the European Junior and Girls Under-20 Championships in Skopje, North Macedonia, which will be held from July 6 to 12.

The draw will be made on Sunday.

The competition will start with classic style bouts, followed by the girls, and in the last days, the junior freestyle.

In the junior category, Bulgaria will have full teams of 10 competitors. In the classics, Stanislav Ivanov (55), current European Cadet Champion, Alyosha Iliev (63 kg), second at the 2024 European Cadet Championships, Kristiyan Milenkov (67), fifth in the world in the junior category.

And in the freestyle – Erdal Galip (61), fifth at the World U23 Championship, Grigor Chernakov (92), fifth at the European Cadet Championship in 2023, as well as Dian Manev (125), fifth at the European Junior Championship last season.

Among the girls on the mat will be Olga Popova, European champion for girls and 7th in Europe for women this season.

Our referee for the championship will be Karolina Grozdanova.
