Bulgarian leads a coaching course in Vietnam
Georgi Sredkov was a trainer at the coaching course in Vietnam, which was part of the cooperation between the IOC and the World Wrestling Federation (UWW).
The event aimed to increase the professional knowledge and skills of wrestling and beach wrestling coaches and to contribute to the development of the sport.
The Bulgarian is a trainer of coaches at UWW, and the course is led together with his Azerbaijani colleague Oyan Nazariani, a member of the UWW Beach Wrestling Commission and national coach of the Azerbaijan Beach Wrestling team.
During the six-day course, participants were offered modern coaching methods, as well as theoretical and practical wrestling training.
The program included a detailed study of UWW educational materials and methodological resources on topics such as the 7 basic wrestling skills, creating a training plan, and different types of training. Also discussed were athlete nutrition, anti-doping, protecting athletes from abuse, pedagogical models of teaching, and more.
Participants were shared and improved approaches to organizing the training process, as well as preparing athletes. At the end, attendees received certificates for successfully completing the course.
