Jeanette Nemet passed away suddenly

President Stanka Zlateva and the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Wrestling Federation express their deepest condolences to the family, relatives, friends and teammates of Jeanette Nemet on the occasion of her sudden and untimely death.

The news of the loss of Jeanette filled us with deep sadness. Our grief is even greater because in recent months we have been actively working together with her on her preparation as part of the future of Bulgarian women's wrestling. Thanks to joint efforts, state funding was secured for the athlete, she actively participated in the camps and training process of the Bulgarian women's wrestling national team and had already received Bulgarian identity documents. These were important steps on the way to her final competitive registration for Bulgaria.

After settling the necessary relations with the international organization of World Wrestling, the Board of Directors of the BF Borba was about to make a decision by which Jeanette Nemet would officially receive the right to represent our country on the international mat.

Today, however, all sports plans and dreams give way to the human pain of a heavy loss. Bulgarian wrestling has lost a talented athlete, and all who had the opportunity to work with her and know her have lost a valuable person.

We bow to the memory of Jeanette Nemet.
