Minister Keryazov awarded the young hopes of Bulgarian wrestling

At a ceremony at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MMS) and in the presence of the President of the Bulgarian Wrestling Federation Stanka Zlateva, Minister Encho Keryazov awarded honorary plaques to our medalists from the European Wrestling Championships under 15 and under 17, which were held in Samokov. The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Yulia Todorova, members of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Wrestling Federation, as well as the coaches of the young athletes.

The Bulgarian national team recorded an impressive performance at the European Championships for cadets and cadets under 17 and for boys and girls under 15. They won a total of 14 medals and consolidated Bulgaria's position among the leading forces in European wrestling.

"You are the future of Bulgarian wrestling. The fact that you are here means that you have already achieved a lot. However, I wish you even greater success in the future. Wrestling has always been a leading sport in our country, and on the world stage – a constant. Now it is your turn to continue this tradition," said Minister Encho Keryazov during the ceremony. He congratulated the young talents and emphasized the importance of perseverance, discipline and dedication in sports.

The President of the Bulgarian Wrestling Federation Stanka Zlateva described the successes of the young nationals as evidence of the revival of traditions in Bulgarian wrestling and the right direction in which the sport is developing in our country. She emphasized that the awards from the European Championships in Samokov are the result of the talent, hard work and perseverance of the competitors, as well as the dedicated work of the coaches and clubs throughout the country.

The President of the Bulgarian Federation of Wrestling also emphasized the importance of investments in young people, defining them as an investment in the future of Bulgarian sport and in values ​​such as discipline, hard work, responsibility and the pursuit of success.

Stanka Zlateva thanked Minister Keryazov and the Bulgarian Council of Sports for their support and good partnership with the federation. She emphasized that with joint efforts between institutions, clubs and the sports community, Bulgarian wrestling has the potential to achieve even greater success in the coming years.
